Uist News, Friday 9th May Another beautiful start to the day here on North Uist today. It is forecast to remain the same for the rest of the day with temperatures of up to 12 degrees. An Osprey was spotted heading over Baleshare on North Uist yesterday. This unique raptor stands out for its beauty and choice of prey. Being opportunistic fish-eaters, ospreys feed almost exclusively on live fish. Their unique talons allow them to rearrange their catch so that it faces forward as they carry it to their nest.
