Uist News, Friday 22nd September
A breezy start to the day here on North Uist this morning, it is forecast to improve later on this afternoon but the cool northerly wind is expected to continue for the rest of the day. Wildlife spotted yesterday were Tennessee Warblers and a Kingfisher. Red-eyed Vireos were also spotted, these neat olive-green songbirds are very tuneful with males having 30 or more different songs to entertain us with!

The size of a dwarf daffodil depends on the variety, but generally they grow 4 to 6 inches (10-15 cm.) tall with flowers that are just one and a half inches (4 cm.).
