Uist News, Monday 28th April A cloudy, damp start to the day here on North Uist today. It is a big improvement from the wet and windy day we had yesterday though. The forecast for the rest of the day is mainly dry with temperatures of up to 12 degrees. There is a livestock sale in Lochboisdale today. There will be cattle and sheep going through the ring today and, hopefully, crofters will get a good price for all their hard work. The M. V Hebrides is operating an amended timetable today to transport livestock wagons across for the sale. She left Uig at 5.15am for this extra sailing and carried on with her normal sailings at 7.20 am.
