Uist News, Tuesday 11th November A brighter start to the day here on Uist today. It is forecast to remain the same for most of the day, but heavy rain is expected this evening lasting until tomorrow morning. It was the North Uist crofters who had an early start this morning for the cattle sale in Lochmaddy. As this is the last sale of the year on Uist, hopefully the prices will be good, and the crofters will go home happy this evening.

The size of a dwarf daffodil depends on the variety, but generally they grow 4 to 6 inches (10-15 cm.) tall with flowers that are just one and a half inches (4 cm.).
